Londoners are you dreading like me the news that mobiles will soon be usable on the tube?
i mean is there nowhere in mordern life were we can get a bit of peace ? the tube is a haven of silence but it will soon be shattered by dolt shouting down their phone

If anything I think they’ll be dreading the Olympics more than anything, what a bloody farce that’s going to be, our politicians couldn’t organise the proverbial in a brewery, or perhaps I was the only one who shook his head in dismay when I saw that we’d got it.

really? i never knew that, but i totally agree. i just wanna relax on the tube not have people barking down the phone and mobiles ringing all the time, especially those with the dreadful ringtones!!
hate mobiles.I even hate using mine.but have you noticed in the tube is only tourists and kids on an away trip that actually talk???this stiff upper lip….I hate that as much as mobiles,and the indiference!I am only talking about the tube,Not starting on our society because we be here all night!!!

Whatever happened to the phone booth. Yes, when phones were on wires it was assumed that person wanted privacy, but now everyone let’s it all hang out.
Maybe they could install those Cones of Silence, like in Get Smart.
You can buy mobile signals blockers but their illegal one for your pocket is about £70 but getting it through customs not worth the risk.

The Tube is public transport, a place for the public, get a cab, it might even be cheaper than the Tube if theres more than two of you.
